Directed by Mark Bowden for Quicksilver Theatre • Written by S. Prendergast • Projections by A.Savage

Watercolours tells the story of a young boy who goes to stay with his grandparents whilst his parents move to a new home. He then meets Cressida who lives in the attic. She is a photojournalist who is going blind and a friendship develops. together they each confront their anxieties and learn that with a little courage new experiences can turn into exiting adventures.

The idea behind watercolours was to design a self contained set that could be erected in limited time by the actors in any space or even ourdoors. The truss system could hold lights, projectors as well as the set itself which was made of special kite fabric. By changing the projections we could create all the diverse worlds and interactions with monsters and animals that the play required.http://www.quicksilvertheatre.orgshapeimage_1_link_0
